ABOUT US

Terry and Danielle Deefholts live in Grafton in the beautiful Northern Rivers area of NSW.

Terry has had more than 15 years experience in photography starting in Sydney newspapers before moving on to event, portrait and wedding photography in Grafton in 2001. Terry still does the odd casual shift for his local paper The Daily Examiner but most of his work comes from family or baby sittings, weddings, sporting events, debutante balls, school formals and corporate promotional photography.

Danielle has come to love the post-production end of the business. From complicated image-enhancing techniques to scrap-book style layouts to DVD photoshows set to music.

Danielle has also proven very handy with the camera – taking out the following in Grafton Camera Club’s 2008 Community Photo Rally:

  • Top Print
  • Best Set of 12 Prints
  • 1st prizes in 3 of the 12 categories.

Terry, much to his dismay, did not do as well as his beloved – taking only a first and a second out of all categories although he does seek credit for being Danielle ’s chief lens changer.

We no longer own Grafton Health Foods. Terry works full time as a journalist at The Daily Examiner and though Terry will still be an active photographer, Danielle is moving more into photos. Photos can still be viewed, ordered and picked up from Grafton Health Foods. Go and see Janelle for a great meal or coffee while you peruse your pix.

Terry is an avid music-lover and reckons he’ll be wheeled into the Big Day Out when he’s 70. The couple has four young children who help keep them extremely busy on all counts.

Our Philosophy

A photograph captures a fragment of time so it can be held up to remind us that something took place. But good photography is more than a frozen moment or a historic record – it should convey an emotion or make you think, just as all good art should.

Photography Unlimited is an ambitious and impossible name – we know. But we like to set our sites high so that when our clients get their photos, whether they be prints, digital files or canvasses, their expectations are truly exceeded.

And the trouble with high expectations is the restlessness.

We are constantly on the search to improve our images. We’ve recently bought new lenses, a new camera and several new pieces of software to build up the quality and variety we can offer our clients.
